Our founding member, Laurence A. Steel, was born in Leeds, England, was educated at Manchester University and he graduated from the University of Florida in 1985.
Upon graduation, Mr. Steel joined the State Attorney’s office in Pinellas County. He formed his own practice in 1986 specializing in bankruptcy law, mortgage foreclosure defense, family law, civil law, adoption, immigration, and commercial litigation. Since that time Mr. Steel has practiced bankruptcy law in more than 27 counties and has filed in excess of 8,000 bankruptcies in Florida. He has worked in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, and throughout Russia.
Mr. Steel recently worked in Moscow, Russia with Translegal, the largest worldwide law firm utilizing licensed lawyers to translate legal documents. He is establishing a network of lawyers and solicitors in the United States and the United Kingdom, along with other EEU countries.

Michael S. Connelly, P.A.
Mr. Connelly co-counsels cases with Laurence Steel, Esq. and provides assistance in Debt Defense, Criminal, Traffic, and Dependency Law Cases. Mr. Connelly graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A in Sociology and later from Stetson University with a Juris Doctorate and a Masters in Business Administration in 2002. Mr. Connelly was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003 and is a former Assistant Public Defender, Assistant State Attorney, and Assistant Attorney General. He also has experience in Plaintiff’s Civil Collection and Insurance Subrogation. Mr. Connelly also operates Michael S. Connelly, P.A., a law firm concentrating in Debt Defense, Criminal, Traffic and Dependency Law.Mr. Connelly has extensive jury and non-jury trial experience and is available for consultation in preparation of these matters. He is also available as coverage counsel in the aforementioned areas of law. Mr. Connelly is also Chairman of the Grand Hampton HOA Legal Committee. Gary Carpenter, Esq.
Attorney Gary G. Carpenter is a graduate of Florida State University and Mississippi College School of Law. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1994.Before entering private practice, Gary worked for the Department of Children & Families and the Office of the Attorney General representing the State of Florida’s interests in protecting abused and neglected children.Gary was formally recognized by the Department of Children & Families for his legal work on behalf of Florida’s abused children. Subsequently, Gary has practiced worker’s compensation law throughout various courts in the State of Florida.
Gary prides himself on personalized attention of his clients, whether in estate planning, bankruptcy or worker’s compensation. Since his admission to the Florida Bar in 1994, Gary has always remained a member in good standing.
